full mouth dental implants in cincinnati, OH

The All-On-4 procedure, also known as "Teeth in a Day," allows patients to have their remaining teeth removed, implants placed, and a fully functional smile all in just one day! This procedure not only improves the appearance of patients' smiles but also rejuvenates their outlook on life. Many patients struggle with severe tooth decay, failing dental work, and broken teeth. For these individuals, the All-On-4 procedure is the perfect solution to achieve a brand new smile and resolve long-standing dental issues.

Here are some key benefits of the All-On-4 procedure:

- Most natural-looking and aesthetically pleasing: The results resemble natural teeth in both appearance and texture.
- Permanent solution: The implants stay in the mouth without the need for removal like dentures.
- No long healing times: You can start using your dental implants right away.
- No coverage of the roof of the mouth: Unlike other options, the All-On-4 procedure does not cover the roof of the mouth.
- Excellent chewing ability: This procedure provides the best chewing ability compared to other options for replacing a full arch or full mouth of teeth.
- Suitable for individuals with limited bone: It is ideal for those who have been told they have insufficient bone for implants.
- Enhances food tasting experience: The All-On-4 procedure can improve your ability to taste and enjoy food.

Choose the All-On-4 procedure for a quick and effective way to achieve a beautiful smile and resolve your dental issues.

Here's how it works:

This procedure involves the extraction of any remaining teeth, the placement of 4-6 implants per arch, and the attachment of a low-profile bridge to those implants. The implants are strategically positioned to avoid the patient's sinuses, eliminating the need for expensive bone grafts and long healing periods.

Our doctor has improved the traditional All-On-4 procedure by customizing it based on their expertise and understanding, resulting in a more favorable outcome for patients. At Indiana Dentures and Implants, we carefully assess each case and tailor our treatment to the individual patient's anatomy. Your doctor will implant between four and six implants per arch, and temporary fixed bridges will be installed while your implants integrate with your jawbones and your mouth heals.

Once the healing process is complete, the doctor and lab technician will design your final teeth using zirconia, a material that is significantly stronger than the acrylic denture teeth commonly offered at other dental practices. Zirconia also provides a more natural and lifelike appearance, is more hygienic, and is resistant to staining. As a result, these teeth will have a longer lifespan and a superior aesthetic compared to the acrylic/titanium hybrid bridges commonly found elsewhere.

Can I be considered as a candidate?

Most patients, even those who have been told they don't have enough bone for dental implants, can have this procedure. To avoid the sinuses and use the strongest bone, your doctor will use a mix of straight and angled implants. This technique usually eliminates the need for expensive and time-consuming sinus augmentation bone grafts. During your free consultation, your doctor will assess if All-On-4, also called "Teeth in a Day," is right for you.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Yes, it is possible! Nevertheless, although your implants and teeth are firmly placed from the beginning, we kindly request that you stick to a soft diet for the 4-month healing period. What does this entail? A useful guideline is to consume only foods that can be easily cut with a plastic fork. This precaution is necessary because you are making a long-term investment that could potentially last for several decades or even the entirety of your life. By adhering to a softer diet during the healing period, you will facilitate optimal integration of the implants into your bone and increase the likelihood of achieving the best possible long-term outcome.

The timeline for the All-On-4 procedure is as follows:

The procedure typically lasts 4-6 hours, depending on whether you are treating a single arch (upper or lower) or both arches (full mouth). After leaving our office, your temporary bridge(s) will be securely attached to your new implants. These temporary bridges will be worn for 4 months to allow for integration of the implants with your bone and healing of your jaws and gums. This healing time ensures the best fit for your final bridges. Once the healing is complete, we will begin fabricating your final bridge(s). This process will involve a few appointments over a 5-6 week period, during which you will have the opportunity to design the smile you desire for your permanent teeth.

Mouth Impressions:

The lab utilizes these materials to create your temporary implant bridge(s). In case you are missing a significant number of teeth in the arch that will be treated, the doctor might recommend a wax try-in. This involves creating a model of your temporary implant bridge using wax, which will be used to assess bite position, aesthetics, and other factors.

Please follow the procedure:

The procedure involves removing any teeth if necessary, placing implants, and then placing temporary implant bridge(s). On average, the procedure usually lasts between 4 to 7 hours.

Post-Operative #1

After the procedure, please check the healing progress and feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Post-Operative Update #2

At the appointment 3 weeks after the procedure, the sutures will be removed and the healing will be checked. Typically, the patient will be cleared to start using a water flosser or WaterPik at this time.

Final Teeth Impressions

After 4 months of the procedure

Give it a shot

Within 5-10 days of taking impressions, we will provide you with a mock-up of your final teeth. In certain cases, multiple wax try-ins may be required. It is crucial for us to ensure your satisfaction with the wax try-ins before proceeding with the final fabrication. Once the try-ins are processed, any modifications become unfeasible. Therefore, if you decide to make changes to your bridge(s) after approving and fabricating them, a full-cost remake charge will be applicable.

Finalize the seating arrangement

Once you have given your approval for the wax try-in(s), it usually takes around 4-6 weeks for your bridge or bridges to be prepared for seating.
