At present, we do not administer anesthesia to induce sleep in patients. However, we do provide oral conscious sedation as an alternative. This medication aims to help you relax during your procedure and often results in a lack of recollection. To obtain this medication, we will write you a prescription which you can collect from your preferred pharmacy. Please note that it is imperative to arrange for a designated driver who can transport you after taking the oral sedation pill(s). It is strictly advised not to operate any motor vehicle or machinery following the consumption of this medication.

The ability to remove the palate in a snap-in denture depends on the dental implants being spread out. Our All-On-4 procedure guarantees the ability to remove the palate, but this may not always be possible with snap-in dentures. Removing the palate can enhance taste and increase hot and cold sensitivity, providing a more natural experience. It can also provide relief for patients with a severe gag reflex.

Please note that any significant bleeding will have ceased before you leave the clinic. However, it is normal to experience slight bleeding (oozing) for 1-3 days following the procedure. Additionally, when your denture(s) are initially inserted, you may notice increased salivation. This may cause the saliva to mix with a small amount of blood, giving the appearance of more bleeding than there actually is. If heavy bleeding persists, please contact our office.

It is important to note that there is a possibility of experiencing bruising and swelling, and it will take time to adjust to eating and speaking with the new teeth.
